Hyderabad News: Gandhi Hospital in Hyderabad will get separate integrated commuter terminal followed by the decision of HMDA. The terminal will have separate bays for the upcoming metro rails, suburban trains, currently running MMTS trains and intermediate para-transit services like autos and taxis. Parking of vehicles will also have entirely separate bays in this proposed terminal.
The HMDA officials chose old Gandhi Hospital land for this terminal construction. A railway station and a bus station are located in the proximity of this area. Hence it would be ideal for the terminal to be constructed. A written request was sent to Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MA&UD) department to start this project as soon as possible.
On the other hand, HMDA started working on the staff requirements and technical requirements of the terminal project. This project would hopefully reduce the traffic chaos on roads, which became alarming in the recent past.
