   Water Board of Andhra Pradesh in acute financial crisis

Hyderabad News: The water board of AP, Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewage Board (HMWS & SB) is in acute shortage of finances. Due to which, other departments of government were asked to clear their debts to the water board immediately.

 

In a review meeting yesterday the Chief Secretary Minnie Mathew addressed the gathering and demanded to repay the loans as early as possible.

 

The departments like Panchayat Raj and Rural development, Municipal Administration and Urban Development, Health Welfare Dept., Medical and Family Welfare Dept. are indebted to HMSW & SB. The amount to be returned is close to 160 crore rupees.  Even the AP Housing Board has its share in the debt which is to be cleared.
