   Suspicious death occurs in Gandhi Hospital

Hyderabad News: A man committed suicide by jumping off from the building of Gandhi Hospital on Sunday 19 August. He was a 59 year old mental patient who was admitted in Gandhi on 16 August. The victim G Ravinder, was a resident of Venkateshwara colony of Jeedimetla.

 

A day before he was admitted to Gandhi, he fell down on his head in his house. Because of which, he suffered a head injury. The doctors from Gandhi Hospital started that he was suffering from psychological problems and couldn’t recognize his own family members.

 

Ravinder’s brother Harinder was acting like his attendant while he was admitted. Yesterday morning at 2 am, Harinder slept off while watching over his brother. When he woke up at 4.30 am, he didn’t find his brother in the room. He searched for Ravinder everywhere. Later a body was discovered by a hospital attendant on the fence near the 1st floor. Harinder recognized the body as his brother’s.

 

Police booked a case of suspicious death under section 174 of CrPC; as true cause of death is not yet known clearly. The body was later taken to post-mortem in the same hospital.
