Olympics News: London Olympics 2012 ended on Sunday with a grand ceremony that took place in Olympic Stadium in London, Great Britain. The ceremony was followed by an after party to all the athletes and committee members. The 17-day Olympic grandeur lived up to the name of Great Britain. Once again it proved its mettle and stands as one proud nation.

 

The ceremony started at 4pm in London which is 9pm here in India. Athletes once again displayed their sports skills and enjoyed the after party. There were more than 1400 performers in the ceremony with 3500 adults and 350 children. The ceremony was full of colours.  

Some of the performers of this ceremony are Madness group who performed ”Our House”. It was indeed one-of-its-kind event on Sunday. The orchestra performed signature style and classical British Music in harmony which reverberated all through the stadium.

 

The Olympic Games were handed over to Rio de Janeiro, the capital of the State Rio de Janeiro which is the second largest city in Brazil of South America. This city will be hosting 2016 Olympics.
