   Olympics 2012 Opening Ceremony in London

London Olympics 2012 opening ceremony is today’s news maker. It has filled all the news channels and news websites. The grand preparations made by the host country took it to a new level. British Prime Minister David Cameron stated that his main concern was the security of the people who visited the ceremony. Britain positioned 4700 more troops apart from the existing security personnel, which constituted to a total number of 18200 security guards for the whole event.

 

Bollywood’s ace actor Amitabh Bachchan was the one representing India among the 173 people. Sebastian Coe, chairman of London games invited Amitabh Bachchan to represent India. These 173 people are the representatives of their respective countries participating in London Olympics 2012. Though London was going through an economic dropdown, it did not leave any effort undone to make the opening event a success. It was indeed an extravagant moment of pride for the nation.

 

London hopes that this attraction of crowd to its nation might help boost a lot of tourism. This should definitely help London to revive from its economic meltdown taking place from past 6 months. And very soon by 2013 or 2014, they are targeting to emerge as one of the economically well off countries among the world.
