Hyderabad News: US Consulate on Wednesday made an official written statement that the interview process to go to US will be made easier. Especially for the passport renewal applicants; provided thay should apply within 4 years from the expiry of their Visa. The children below 7 years need not be called for interview process in US embassy.   

 

The Consul General of US consulate, Katherine Dhanani stated in a promotion roadshow that they are trying level best to make the visa application process easier than before. Even the issue of Visa after interview will be done faster from now on. She also requested to consider US as a tourism destination apart from business and workplace.

 

Some other changes made in the Consulate are that the business and tourism visas were combined. The reason is that they want the business executives who visit US, to also spend time as a tourist. This will help them get an extended visa and also improve the revenue of Tourism Department of United States. Katherine Dhanani also advised the applicants to speak the truth in interviews so that the officials can be convinced.

 

The US Consulate also launched the program of VUSACOM India in Hyderabad. It is a committee operating from US, meant to increase the number of Indian tourists visiting US.
