Kiran Kumar Reddy directed the APTransco officials to extend power cuts in urban areas if required to supply power to rural areas to prevent crops from drying. The Chief Minister held a high-level meeting with the Secretariat officials to review the power situation in the state. When the officials informed him that there were reports of crop damage in Nalgonda, Ranga Reddy and Mahbubnagar, Mr Kiran Kumar Reddy said, “This should not happen. Take special care in these areas andif required, impose additional power cuts in urban areas and see that crops are not damaged at any cost.”
