Telangana Recognised School Managements Association (TRESMA) president K. Papi Reddy and general secretary Ch. Ramchander told media persons that the decision to withdraw the strike was taken keeping in view the studies of children and the need to strengthen the Telangana agitation. A.P. Private Schools Managements Association Convenor S. Sreenivas Reddy said all schools of their association will also open.

Mr. Papi Reddy maintained that the schools lost only 12 working days on account of the strike which the managements would compensate by taking classes on holidays.

The Telangana Teachers Joint Action Committee (TT-JAC) too announced its withdrawal from the 32-day strike. TTJAC co-chairman K. Venugopal said the government agreed to their demands with regard to informing the Centre about the sentiments of teachers on the Telangana issue.
