G-20 Meet

Finance Minister Pranab Mukharji is going to attend the meeting of G-20 finance Ministers and central bank governors. Besides raising several issues relating to the world economy pranab mukharji is going to raise the issue of black money and how India is facing the problem to get he Tax related information despite having been entered in to Tax Information Exchange Agreement (TIEA).

Earlier it is said that he is going to discuss the necessity of the reforms in the Information Mechanism but it seems other countries are not interested in the topic.

One of the Officials says “it is not easy to get the banking information. There are number of TIEA’s that have been signed but countries are saying they cannot share the retrospective data.”

Finance Minister Statement says that “Mukharji will ask the G-20 member to countries to impress upon concerned countries especially tax havens for uninterrupted flow of information to black money and terror financing.”
