India Smashed England
   

Chasing a very-gettable target of 238, India crossed the finishing line without any fuss in 36.4 overs. Gambhir and Kohli also shared an unbroken 209-run stand for the fourth wicket.

India too were exactly 35/2 like England had been earlier in the day, both teams having lost the openers.  Cook and Kieswetter departed without putting up a run on the board and the Trott-Pietersen combine perished after a decent start, Gambhir and Kohli having found themselves together after 6.5 overs -A new record for the third wicket with their unconquered 209-run stand.

Virat Kohli scored a century (98-balls 112 ) while Gautam Gambhir too smashed a (90-balls 84 Not out) to take India home by eight wickets in the second one day
international at the Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium here on Monday to take a 2-0 lead in the five-match series.Vinay Kumar picked up a career-best

India finished the game with 80 balls remaining and eight wickets in hand is a fair indication of their complete .
