   Problems continue regarding UGC-NET website
UGC, UGC portal, UGC NET, University Grants Commission, National Eligibility Test, UGC portal, Surinder Singh

The applicants of UGC-NET (University Grants Commission-National Eligibility Test) from all over the country are repeatedly complaining about the website’s crash.  The commission already postponed the last date of online submissions to 2nd May and then to 4th May for this year’s test. The exam is scheduled on 24th June 2012.

The UGC-NET secretary, Surinder Singh, told the media that close to 3,80,000 students could apply online successfully till 30th April, which was initially the deadline to online applications. But due to the last minute hurry for applying, the UGC (University Grants Commission)portal might have gone down.

He also claims that there are no technical problems regarding the UGC website but still we are receiving complaints from all over the country and it will soon be rectified. Since the UGC portal is under going technical changes, the commission is accepting offline applications from those students who wanted to apply online.

The pattern of UGC-NET (University Grants Commission-National Eligibility Test) is changed for the first time, and students will be appearing for this changed paper format. It promises to be an improvement from the previous NET( National Eligibility Test) paper pattern as there will be no negative marking from this time.
