ABOUT :

Hyderabad district in its present shape has come into existence in August, 1978 consequent on formation of a new District, Ranga Reddy from the erstwhile Hyderabad District. All the rural areas of erst-while Hyderabad District have been included in Ranga Reddy District, while thearea of Muncipal Corporation of Hyderabad (Exclding a small part), Secunderabad Cantonment, Lalaguda and Osmania University are included in Hyderabad District. There are 66 villages in the District and they are grouped into erstwhile talukas, Viz., Charminar, Golconda, Musheerabad and Secunderabad.

The State capital being in this District, it is highly developed in all aspects. With a view to bringing up the administration to the door steps of the people to solve their problems upliftment of the people, the Government as a policy took a decision to restructure the Lower level administrative set-up in the state consequently, Revenue Mandal were setup.

Hyderabad is the 5th largest city in India. It has twin cities Viz., Hyderabad and Secunderabad with its suburbs extending upto 16 miles. The Hyderabad city is situated in 1o 11’ of the Northern Longitude and 78o 27’ of the Eastern Longitude. 1778’ above MSL and on grey and Pink Granites among the world’s oldest. The highest point in the city is Banjara Hills, 2206’ above MSL. The contour level falls gradually from west to east creating almost a through near the Musi River which runs through the city. This natural feature has facilitated water supply by gravity.


HISTORY :

Hyderabad is the capital of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It also goes by its sobriquet City of Pearls. As of 2010 it is the seventh largest city and metropolitan area of India. Hyderabad was founded by Muhammad Quli Qutb Shah in 1591 on the banks of Musi.

Hyderabad has developed into one of the major hubs for the information technology industry in India. In addition to the IT industry, various biotechnology and pharmaceutics companies have set up their operations in Hyderabad owing to its established Public sector in Life Science Research and Genome Valley. It has developed a unique culture, reflected in its language and architecture.

Hyderabad's population of the metropolitan area was estimated above 6.3 million. Hyderabad is a cosmopolitan city, whose residents are adherents to a wide range of religions. Telugu and Urdu are the principal languages spoken in the city, while English, Hindi and Marathi are also widely spoken.

Hyderabad can be best viewed in the Night time than in the day time.From Charminar to Sanghi temple,from Necklace Road to Hitech city road each and every place is worth a view.

Birla Mandir

:The Birla Mandir Temple, which was constructed of white Rajasthani Marble in 1976, graces of the twin rocky hills, built at an attitude of 280 feet on the high Naubat pahad overlooking the picturesque Hussain sagar lake,Lumbini Park, Public garden, Assembly, and reserve bank. Dedicated to Lord Venkateshwara, the temple is a popular hindu pilgrimage centre. The magnificent architecture of the temple is a synthesis of North and South Indian styles.

Chilkur Balaji Temple

Twenty Five kilometers from Hyderabad off the Vikarabad road and on the banks of Osmansagar is the picturesque village of Chikur with its hoary temple dedicated to Sri Balaji Venkateshwara. The temple is one of the oldest in Telengana, having been built during the time of Akkanna and Madanna, the uncles of Bhakta Ramdas. According to tradition, a devotee who used to visit Tirupati every year could not do so on one occasion owing to serious ill-health.

Falaknuma Palace

This palace is originally a rich nobleman’s house, was built in a mixture of classical and mughal styles. It is a unique blend of Italian and Tudor architecture. Built in 1883 by nawab Vikar-Ul-Ulmara, the 5th Amir of Paigah and the then prime minister of Hyderabad , the palace took nearly 7 years for its completion.

Golconda Fort:

Like many of the great forts in India, Golconda Exudes a palpable sense of history. This is one of the most accessible of great medieval fortresses in India, was the capital of the Qutb Shahi Kings who ruled over the area. Golconda fort is a massive fort of granite with the walls and ramparts extending more than 5kms in circumferences. It is located at a distance of 13kms from Hyderabad.

Hussain Sagar Lake:

The Hussain Sagar Lake being situated at a distance of approximately 1.5 kilometers from the city of Hyderabad stands out amongst the very limited number of man-made lakes in the country. It is by virtue of the Hussain Sagar Lake that the association between the cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad had been made feasible.
