ISRO is all set to launch its 20th (Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle) PSLV on October 12 from Srihari kota Launch pad at 11Am. And Launch rehearsal will be on October 8.
The Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle(PSLV-C18) is going to put satellites in the orbit; Megha-Tropiques a Joint satellite by India and France which will help in understanding the global tropical weather, climate and Indian monsoon etc..
Jugnu an integrated satellite (3kg) from the students of IIT Kanpur, which will take the pictures of the earth to monitor, vegetation, reservoirs, lakes and ponds.
SRM Sat (10kg), built by the students of SRM university which will help in studying global warming, and It will study the levels carbon-dioxide and carbon-monoxide in the atmosphere.
And last VesselSat from Luxembourg will help in locating the ships in the sea-lanes of the world.
K. Radhakrishnan , chairman , ISRO said “The Megha-Tropiques and the three other co-passenger satellites have been fully integrated with the vehicle . The heat shield was closed last morning and it is ready for rehearsal.”
