Kapil Sibal unveils NFAP

Union Communication and Information Technology Minister Kapil Sibal has come out with National Frequency Allocation Plan-2011 (NFAP) which is going to help for better management of spectrum.

NAFP is also helpful for developing and encouraging domestic manufacture and technology in information and communication technology (ICT). It contains different spectrum allocation plans for various radio communications services and applications in different frequency bands.

In statement Kapil Sibal said “The growing demand for information-rich content, faster access and mobility by both commercial and captive users is increasingly being met by broad band wireless application. The new plan will help the ICT sector prepare for future growth and bring about revolution in the sector there by leading to enhanced economic growth.”
