NET website’s server down, UGC postpones the submission dates
UGC today had to change the due date for submissions of online forms for NET (National Eligibility Test) as students from all over the country complained that the website is giving trouble while trying to log in to it. The last date for submission of online NET forms which was dated to 30 April 2012 has now been postponed to 2nd May and submission of hardcopies of NET forms has to be done by 9th May.

The exam is scheduled on 24th June. The reason for the website’s unavailability still remains unsure while the coordinator of exams at University of Pune, G.S. Chinchanikar mentions that perhaps the website couldn’t have taken the load, when so many students of late are trying to log in to the site and apply online for the NET.

G.S. Chinchanikar also assumes that perhaps the UGC might have received complaints from students regarding the failure of website and hence decided to change the dates.
