   CBI arrested AP Minister Mopidevi Venkataramana
Hyderabad - Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested Excise Minister Mopidevi Venkataramana Rao on Thursday, CBI arrested Minister Mopidevi today(24/05/2012) at 1:30pm in the illegal assets case of Kadapa MP YS Jagan Mohan Reddy,

second day of questioning of the Minister by senior officials of the CBI at Dilkusha Guest House, CBI questioned Mopdevi along with Industrialist Nimmagadda Prasad (Matrix Prasad) And senior bureaucrat K V Brahmananda Reddy, Mopidevi has been arrested under sections  401, 420 and 427 of the Indian Penal Code

The Minister has role in large extent of land allotment to VANPIC (Vodarevu and Nizampatnam Ports & Industrial Corridor) project under Former CM Y.S Rajasekhar Reddy government, At Rajasekhar Reddy cabinet Mopidevi Venkataramana role as Minister for Infrastructure and Ports

When Mopidevi Venkataramana Rao was Minister of  Infrastructure and Ports he allegedly allotted land of 13,000 acres for VANPIC (Vodarevu and Nizampatnam Ports & Industrial Corridor) Nimmagadda Prasad invested about Rs. 850 crores in Y S Jaganmohan Reddy's companies.
