Lumbini Park Hyderabad
Lumbini Park Hyderabad
Lumbini Park:

Lumbini Park was constructed in 1994 in Hyderabad and maintained by Buddha Poornima Project Authority (BPPA) since then. The park covers an area of 7.5 acres and located in the heart of the city near few other places like Necklace Road, NTR gardens and other such tourist attractions of the city. It is open to public all round the year. In 2006, the park was renamed as T. Anjaiah Lumbini Park in the honour of late Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.

The park has many attractive features like musical and colourful water fountain which opens up at 6.30 pm in the evening, boating facilities, flower gardens and colourful floral clock. The highlight of Lumbini Park is the Laser Auditorium which can seat close to 2000 people at once. This is supposedly the first of its kind built in the history of India. The musical fountain and Laser Auditorium together draw huge crowds to this park every day and especially during holidays.

The Lumbini park is surrounded by the state Secretariat, the Hussain Sagar lake and the exotic Birla Mandir near Tank Bund has a musical fountain which is switched on at 7.15 p.m. 8 p.m & 9 p.m.

Open all days from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday closed.
