VVS Laxman retires from Cricket

Sports News: VVS Laxman announced his retirement a few days ago and called for a press conference for the farewell speech. This was immediately after the India’s Test Series against New Zealand. The series started in Rajiv Gandhi Stadium in Uppal in Hyderabad, but only a few people turned up to cheer the team.

The Hyderabad Cricket Association is unhappy about his decision of retirement. The Curator YL Chandr Sekhar was expressing his feelings of how they are going to miss the star of Hyderabad who shone bright in Indian Cricket for a decade.

Meanwhile the soil and ground of the stadium was changed by the cricket management after the match. After Rahul Dravid, Laxman was the senior player who retired from Cricket. This will surely given way for new aspiring players to get into national team. Also Laxman can now start giving tips to the youngsters who need any sort of guidance; like how Sachin Tendulkar was doing during practice.
