Ramoji Film City:
Ramoji Film City was constructed and inaugurated in 1996 in Hayath Nagar in Hyderabad of Andhra Pradesh state in India. It is the world’s largest film studio complex which covers a geographical area of 2000 acres. The studio is a major tourist attraction asset to the city with both natural and artificially made attraction spots. Another equally large film studio is being constructed near the Ramoji Film City called Prayag Film City at the place Chandrakona. It should be approximately 09 minute drive from Hyderabad.
It was constructed and maintained by Ramoji Group director, Ramoji Rao. He is a film producer and a successful entrepreneur. He own a production house named Usha Kiran Movies which made films in all the south Indian languages along with Hindi, Bengali, Marathi and also international films.
Tourism aspects of Ramoji Film City:
The film city attracts tourist from across the world due to its popularity of being the largest film city in the world. Not just Indians, foreigners are also seen frequently visiting the place. The 3-star hotels Tara and Sitara for general public and film stars, the Hawa Mahal an artificial implication of Golkonda Fort on a hilltop, banquet halls and conference halls are certain assets to this film city. Many vintage buses and coaches are arranged by the management to transport the public from Hyderabad’s internal areas to the film city; there are also coaches which take the tourists on a tour within the Film City.
