The Eagle OdysseY

This is the story, narrated by Mike Carter, of one of the UK's greatest conservation successes...the dramatic and inspiring re-establishment of one of the most spectacular birds of prey, the White-Tailed Sea Eagle from extinction in the UK back to a point where there are now dozens of breeding pairs nesting in Scotland each year. Having been persecuted to extinction in the UK in the early years of the last century, this magnificent bird, which boasts an incredible 8 foot wingspan, is now firmly back and drawing large numbers of visitors each year to their nesting areas on the coasts and islands of North-West Scotland just to see them. This film shows how this remarkable success was achieved and boasts some amazing footage of the birds in action, not to mention Scotlands stunningly rugged scenery.
